Collaborative Artist BookS

Cloudy with a purple Sunset:

“Cloudy with a Purple Sunset,” is a community collaboration that took place in May of 2026. Warfield worked with the Broome County community to create the collaborative artist book. Warfield set up shop at the Upstate Anarchist Book Fair where they tabled with book-making supplies. Across two days, event attendees sat down of their own accord to co-create pages of the felt book. The collaborative book engaged participants ranging in age from 5 to 75. After the fair, Warfield later had their social media audience to vote on the book's title and to choose the book jacket's color. The book was assembled by Warfield in their home studio.

This project is made possible with public funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Earlville Opera House. Additional support for the Broome County Arts in the Community Grants is provided by the Stewart W. and Willma C. Hoyt Foundation, Inc.
