ON VIEW THROUGH AUGUST 2024 | Placid Thoughts From Inside Her Eyelids

Placid Thoughts From Inside Her Eyelids
Roberson Museum, 30 Front St. Binghamton, NY
On view august 2023 - august 2024

A solo museum exhibition in two parts:

Placid Thoughts explores the breadth of Anna Warfield’s art practice. From sketches, objects, books, failed and early artworks everything is loosely connected through the apparent interest in relearning and questioning identity as an adult.

From Inside Her Eyelids contributes to a larger conversation about complexities in Feminine Identities through text-based soft sculptures. Warfield controls space, builds on the history of “women’s work,” and uses Femme Aesthetics to embolden conversations gender, communication, and identity.

Placid Thoughts From Inside Her Eyelids is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
